A NEW DAWN A NEW DAY

Wow.  What a day.  And it isn’t even over yet.  Last night was somber, and moving.  But today, was a new dawn and a new day, you could feel it in your bones.  So many highlights.  And HIGHS.  Eugene Goodman escorting VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS!

Lady Gaga with the dove and the pipes! Jennifer Lopez with the Woody Guthrie/America The Beautiful mashup and reaching out to American Latinos!  The swearing in!  The fist bumping!  Garth Brooks a capella!  Arlington Cemetery, the procession, and the concert hasn’t even started yet!  BRUUUUCE!   I’m positively giddy.  And I’m positive.  And hopeful. I haven’t felt this way in YEARS.

PRESIDENT BIDEN has hit the ground running, and he hasn’t wasted a moment in swearing all of his political appointees that don’t require Senate confirmation, and signing 17 Executive Orders that show he wasn’t just paying lip service to his campaign promises of Environment, Civil Rights, and ending this Covid-19 Pandemic.

CNN reported that she was in the middle of writing her inaugural poem when the insurrection unfolded on January 6th.  It definitely affected the outcome of her piece, and her oh, so carefully chosen words.  And Words Matter.
