LEARNING FROM OUR HISTORY
If you’re unaware of what happened in the Senate on Tuesday, let me break it down for you. Nothing. Nothing happened. Because the Republicans, across the board – even “moderate” types like Collins and Murkowski – voted against even bringing HR1, The For the People Act, to the floor for a debate. Won’t even talk about it. Don’t want to hear about it. The childhood playground equivalent of collectively sticking their fingers in their ears, squeezing their eyes shut, and shouting, “Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, I can’t hear you! Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah….”
