Each year, on August 26, we celebrate Women’s Equality Day to pay tribute to those brave suffragists, like Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Alice Paul and Ida B. Wells Barnett, who led the struggle for American women to win the most critical tool of democracy — the right to vote.

REDISTRICTING – HOW IT’S SHAKING OUT
Whoo-ie is it getting crazy here in California after the “final” (pending official approval) 2021 redistricting maps were released in December. First, it is not easy trying to figure out where we fall in all of this. When Googling “district maps for California…” there are multiple articles about it, maps readily available from 2011 and even 2001 lines, but it’s like looking through a needle in a haystack to narrow things down and try to find out (a) where WE here in the KRV fall, and (b) who is running to represent us in the 2022 election cycle….
